Customs clearance
how the process works
Import and export customs clearance, from declaration to goods release. We prepare documentation, represent you before the customs office, and advise on tariff classification. eXcustoms by Exportsy.
Stages of customs clearance
Customs declaration
Based on trade documents (invoice, packing list, certificates), we prepare a customs declaration in the AIS/IMPORT or AES/EXPORT system. We classify goods according to the CN nomenclature.
Document verification
We check document completeness: certificates of origin, permits, conformity certificates. We fill in any gaps before they reach the customs office.
Clearance and goods release
We submit the declaration electronically. The customs office verifies the data and makes a decision, goods release, document control, or physical inspection. We monitor the status and respond in real time.
Duty settlement
We calculate customs duty, VAT, and any additional charges. We present a full settlement. For special procedures (e.g., duty suspension), we advise on the most favorable solution.

Frequently asked questions
How long does customs clearance take?
Standard customs clearance takes from a few hours to 1 business day. In case of document control or physical inspection, the time may extend to 2-3 days. Electronic clearance via AIS is the fastest.
What documents are needed for customs clearance?
Basic documents include: commercial invoice, packing list, transport documents (CMR, B/L, AWB), certificate of origin (if applicable), permits and certificates required for the given goods. We help compile all documentation.
Do you handle customs transit?
Yes, we handle T1 and T2 transit procedures within the EU and beyond. We open and close transits, monitor deadlines, and coordinate with customs offices along the route.
Who covers customs duties and taxes?
Customs duty and import VAT are covered by the importer (goods recipient). As a customs representative, we calculate the duties and inform you of their amount. We also help optimize customs costs through proper tariff classification.
